Data Privacy Responsibilities for Website Owners (GDPR)

Since May 2018, a new set of regulations on data protection and privacy (GDPR) has meant that owners of websites that collect personal data from their visitors (via contact forms for example) require the explicit consent of the visitor in order to store and/or use that data, and must not use it for any purposes other than those described.

Although we will of course advise you on the measures your website needs to include in order to fully comply with GDPR, it's still a good idea for website owners to make sure they are familiar with what GDPR is, what it means, and how it's implications for the way they carry out data collection on their website.
